A note about behaviour!
In our class the rules are as follows:
  1. Respect (each other, the teacher, and the classroom materials)
  2. Be kind to everyone
  3. Raise your hand to speak and wait
  4. Participate (give your 100%)
  5. Be Happy
  6. Always try your best
If you have any questions about the classroom rules/ consequences given in class please contact me. I am very clear about the expectations in class.  If your child is not following my instructions or the classroom rules I use classroom dojo to give and to remove points. When certain behaviours continue I will need to communicate with you. If they break the rules of the school they will get a code de vie. Please verify this part of your childs take home folder each day!
From Aug-Jan (6 months!!) we worked on Autonomy. Students are expected to be INDEPENDENT! This includes:
  1. Empty all signed papers from their take home folder WITHOUT being reminded!
  2. Properly changing their books Monday morning
  3. complete all assigned homework
  4. Have all the materials needed to learn (THF, French binder, etc)
  5. Start their tasks RIGHT AWAY without waiting to be reminded them to: get out their writing materials, write their name and get started.
  6. During class, if they have a questions they should: Try by themselves, use their strategies (look around the room to see if they can find the answer), ask a friend at their table, THEN raise their hand and stay seated.
In Janurary/February we are focused on:
1. Students raisng their hand before speaking! *If they do not they lose a point on classroom dojo.
